Screening of the documentary José and Pilar by Miguel Gonçalves Mendes, and the exhibition “Return to the Steps Already Taken – José Saramago 1922–2022”, developed as part of the writer’s centenary by the Fundação Portugália in collaboration with Camões I.P. in Warsaw.
Fundação Portugália, in cooperation with Camões I.P. in Warsaw and the National Center for Film Culture, is organizing an initiative dedicated to José Saramago, featuring the documentary screening and the exhibition curated by Professor Carlos Reis. Besides EC1 Łódź, the initiative will also take place in Gdańsk and Kraków throughout June.
According to the board of Fundação Portugália, “this initiative, inspired by the Day of Portugal, Camões, and the Portuguese Communities, aims to bring a little piece of Portugal to both the Portuguese diaspora in Poland and local audiences, while fostering connection and cultural exchange.”
