The Ambassador of Portugal in Warsaw, Mário Miranda Duarte, formally presented his credentials yesterday to the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, during an official ceremony held at the Belweder Palace in Warsaw.

This formal act marks the official beginning of the Ambassador's diplomatic mission, representing Portugal to the Polish State. The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Polish Government and members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Warsaw.

The presentation of credentials is a solemn diplomatic moment that grants the Ambassador full authority to carry out his duties. These include strengthening bilateral relations between Portugal and Poland, promoting the Portuguese language and culture, deepening economic and political cooperation, and supporting the Portuguese community living in Poland.

The Embassy of Portugal in Warsaw will continue to work actively to reinforce Portuguese-Polish cooperation in areas such as education, culture, economy, innovation, and citizenship.
