Local Elections 2025 – Information on Voting Abroad

The Embassy of Portugal in Warsaw has recently issued a notice, based on the guidelines of the National Election Commission (CNE), regarding the exercise of voting rights by Portuguese citizens residing or temporarily staying abroad.

According to the CNE, citizens who live outside Portugal or who are abroad on election day cannot vote in the local elections.

Furthermore, early voting from abroad is not legally provided for in these elections.
